Beehive Meet Up
Friday 3rd May - we were on site ready to hopefully receive our visitors, it was a very busy day booking in 60 units.
Saturday 4th May - the coffee morning took place in the gazebo where it was a little bit chilly
Sunday 5th May - a beetle drive took place and a mystery to some! However, a winner was found. People then enjoyed three acts of musical entertainment from three couples of our visitors Rocks scPell, Folksingers and an Irish singer who sung to the haunting sound of a 127yr old accordion - a good evening enjoyed by all!
Through Out The Week - the visitors enjoyed the walks and the cycle rides by the canal. Intrepid campers used the bus which was at the site entrance to visit Salisbury, Devises, Melksham, Trowbridge and Bath. One couple took the wrong cycle path and went the wrong way and ended up a few miles away. Wednesdays weather saw Thunder, Hail and was really rainy!
Saturday 11th May - we had another beetle drive and a raffle with prizes donated by the Wilts Da Member, thank you to those people. We managed to raise £47 for the Wiltshire Air Ambulance. Then we sat around the fire pits and ended up rather smokey.
Sunday 12th May - spring returned and had a lovely BBQ for the Steward Val who had a very enjoy able birthday. The Youth section was setup and are hoping to get more members.
Thank you to the stewards Mike and Val Vincent and Glenn Huscombe.
