DA Camping

Weekend meets! Temp holiday sites! What is it all about?

Ever wondered what the DA: section of your membership card means?

The Camping and Caravanning Club is divided into 13 regions, with each region divided into DA's (District Associations).   DA's are run by volunteer members of the DA who are passionate about social camping.  DA's organize temporary camping events up to 5 days (a Meet) or up to 28 days (a Temporary Holiday Site-THS) often with activities planned.

When you join the CCC you will be assigned a DA based on where you live, and you will be able to attend events with your own DA, or any DA in the country.

How do I find DA meets?

As a member of the Camping and Caravanning Club, you can download and log into the Out&About app.  This is a great app that helps you to find club meets and temporary holiday sites all over the country.

It really is a Must-have app!

Do I need to book?

Generally, no, however, some meets have limited space so the organizing DA may require you to book a pitch, the Out&About listing or the DA's website will tell you if you need to book in advance.

In these difficult COVID times, many DA's, including us, are asking you to fill out a booking form to help us get an idea of numbers attending and to make it easier to inform you if the meet is canceled at short notice.
